M50 Upgrade Phase 1 – N4 to N7

SIAC-Ferrovial Joint Venture was the Design & Build Contractor for the 8km M50 Upgrade Phase 1 Contract. This phase of the motorway upgrade saw the 5 km section from the N7 to the N4 increase from four to six lanes with new free-flowing interchanges at the Red Cow (N7), Liffey Valley (N4) and Ballymount junctions. The project was originally valued at approximately £220m (May 2009 exchange rates) and was completed in mid-2008.

Project Dynamics was engaged via our strategic alliance with Thomas Winter Associates (TWA) to assist the SIAC-Ferrovial Joint Venture in their arbitration case with the Irish National Roads Authority (NRA).

Our role was to provide forensic planning support to help substantiate their claims for extension of time and acceleration.
