PDL secure Amey commission
October 2011 – Project Dynamics has won a commission with Amey for the Isle of Wight Highways PFI (Private Finance Initiative) bid.
Our role is to provide tender planning support to the Amey bid team.
The Isle of Wight Council Highways PFI Project encompasses all aspects of the highway that occur between the fences, including: -
- The road surface
- Drainage
- Street lighting
- Kerbs, footpaths, grass verges, signs, bus shelters, etc.
The contract (approximate value £1.00 billion) is likely to last for 25 years, starting in 2013. It will include the entire Island’s adopted road network, encompassing the management and maintenance of over: -
- 800 kilometres of highway
- 12,000 street lighting columns, and
- 2,000 items of lit street furniture
The procurement process which started in March 2010, is now nearing its final stages before the preferred bidder is selected.
